There are a lot of changes happening - in the world, and at Springhouse. We love a challenge, and a chance to better serve our clients and our community. To that end, we have started to expand our interior design services to offer even more value to our projects.

Recently we reflected on our work and noticed that some projects would turn out amazing, and others didn’t quite reach their potential.

To reach our full potential as a client-focused design firm, we promoted Serena Walther as our first Director of Interior Design. With her undergrad in interior design and her masters in architecture, Serena has the rare ability to bridge architecture and interiors.  She is a certified interior designer with more than 25 years of experience spanning from California to North Carolina. Serena believes in finding the unique qualities in each of her clients and enhancing those through design, creating multi-faceted residential and commercial environments.

Serena has been with us for three years and is an amazing team player, always jumping in to help get us unstuck in design solutions. She is passionate about building our Interior Design division by guiding all of our clients through the entire process of building, remodeling or reimagining spaces. You can read more about her here: https://www.springhousearchitects.com/serena-walther

Now we have the processes in place to guide the homeowner through the exciting, and sometimes challenging, journey of selecting every single interior finish and material for their home, including floor finishes, cabinet hardware, style of interior doors, and down to every light fixture and faucet. After those choices are made, it extends into furniture, window coverings, and detail pieces. It is a very long list with strict deadlines and lead times to be managed. And we are proud to be the guide for our clients throughout this process so they don’t have to do it alone. Our projects that encompass both architecture and interior design have been amazing--the clients are happy and we love the work we do.

So what’s next? We are working on several custom homes and renovations, guiding clients through the endless selection schedule, keeping the schedule and budget on track, and focusing on bringing the family personality into the home. On one project, we are reimagining a traditional suburban home to better serve the family that lives there. We are taking over the formal dining room, expanding the mud/laundry space, and transforming the kitchen to a family gathering spot with a closer connection to the outdoors.

Interested in your own residential renovation or have a few questions? Feel free to contact us anytime--we’d love to help.
